Will we be a good fit?
Everyone is welcome here. This page is just the honest version of who I find myself grinning about before sessions start. If you see yourself in a few of these, we might be onto something.
My favorite people to sit with
Helping professionals
(therapists, teachers, school staff, nurses, and other people who take care of everyone else)
I spent 7 years in a classroom, so I know exactly what caring for everyone else costs. If you spend your days being the steady one, I would love to be the one who cares for you. Some of my favorite clients are other therapists and mental health professionals, and that room is always judgment free.
Late-diagnosed and neurodivergent folks
ADHD-ers, AuDHDers, and Autistics, especially if your answer arrived at 8 or 48. Late-diagnosed and late-self-identifying people are my bread and butter, and I am neurodivergent myself.
High-masking, high-performing people
You look wildly capable from the outside while privately spending every last ounce of energy holding it together. You never have to mask or translate yourself to be taken seriously here.
Perfectionists and eldest daughters
Type A folks who have been the responsible one in the room since roughly age zero.
People with the quiet kind of OCD
Mental compulsions, mental checking, reassurance seeking, scrupulosity. If your brain argues with you all day, I speak that language.
Intellectualizers and overthinkers
The cripplingly self-aware people who can analyze their feelings brilliantly and still cannot feel their way out of them.
Neurodivergent and mixed-neurotype couples
Learning to translate each other's operating systems, and figuring out which parts are wiring and which parts are just a regular Tuesday.
Queer folx and queer couples
At any point in the coming-out, dating, or decade-in journey. Affirmation, not tolerance.
Women and the people in their corner
Feminists, caretakers, and anyone carrying the invisible load. That includes women's issues like fertility and trying to conceive, hormonal shifts, and the pre and postpartum seasons. I also often work with people living with PCOS and help manage what it does to your stress, your hormones, and your mental health, which is often tangled up with trauma and chronic stress. (It is called PMOS now, though not every provider has caught up yet.)
People of color
Therapy has not always been safe or welcoming for you, and that is a real thing to weigh. You should not have to leave any part of yourself at the door, and here, you would not.
Men unlearning the old script
If 'be a man' came with a lot of harmful fine print, we can untangle all of it: the messaging you were handed about what it means to be a man, and what you would rather keep.
Friends and other people who want a way through conflict
You do not have to be related or romantically involved for a relationship to matter. We can work on communication, boundaries, and what happens next, without needing everyone to agree on everything.
The traumatized but funny crowd
Humor is a coping skill here, not a deflection (...mostly).
Complex trauma and neglect survivors
Untangling what happened when you were small, and what never got given to you, is some of my favorite work there is.
People healing from harmful faith
When faith hurt more than it helped. I bring professional training in religious trauma.
Anyone judged about their weight
Especially if you have been sized up instead of cared for in an exam room. Your body is not a before picture.
People living with chronic illness and pain
Your symptoms are real and so is your exhaustion. You deserve a room that believes you, in a system that often does not.
Neurodivergent kids and their grown-ups
Kids deserve curiosity before compliance, and adults willing to ask what a behavior is communicating.
Kids of every kind (8 and up)
Neurodivergent or not, kids are people, not problems to solve. My years in a classroom taught me how to make a room feel safe enough for a kid to be honest in.
Teens (13 to 17)
I like teenagers, and I think they get a bad rap nobody deserves. Being a teen is genuinely hard: all of the responsibility of the adult world, none of the freedom. You get honesty instead of a lecture, and a room where you do not have to perform being fine.
Young adults finding their footing
School, work, relationships, independence, and everyone asking what comes next. We can figure out the next part without pretending you should already have a five-year plan.
Parents (especially parents of neurodivergent kids)
Parenting a neurodivergent kid in a world built for a different brain is a lot, and you do not have to figure it out alone. And parenting in general asks everything of you, whatever your kid's wiring, so this is a place where somebody takes care of you for a change.

Who I see
Adults, kids and pre-teens (8 and up), teens and young adults, parents, couples, families, and small groups of friends or unrelated people, anywhere in Ohio by telehealth. For individual counseling, I am in-network with several plans through Headway, with private pay and superbills too. The details are on Fees & Insurance.
Businesses, churches, and other organizations can also reach out about conflict and change management. We discuss scope, format, privacy, and fees first; health insurance coverage should not be assumed. Read about organizational support.
What sessions feel like
- Relational, warm, and collaborative: I get beside you, not above you shouting coping skills into the trenches
- Honest when you need it. I will always just tell you what I mean
- Humor welcome, including the dark kind
- Curious about what is underneath, not just what is on the surface
- Feminist and justice-minded: not every problem began inside you
- Never asking you to mask, perform, or prove it is 'bad enough'
- Creative and hands-on when it fits you: art, music, expressive work, games, and processing through play
When someone else might fit better
- You live outside Ohio. I can only see people who are located in Ohio during sessions.
- You want in-person sessions. I work by telehealth only.
- The client is younger than 8. I am happy to help point you toward someone who fits.
- An eating disorder or substance use is the main thing bringing you to therapy. If it is part of the picture, we can absolutely work with that. If it is the primary reason for sessions, you deserve someone who specializes in it, and I will help you find them.
- You are in crisis right now. Please call or text 988, or call 911, so you get help immediately.
Still not sure? That is exactly what the free 15-minute consult is for. Bring the messy, overthought, hard-to-explain version of yourself, and we will figure it out together. You can also read more about me and what I stand for.
Not sure if I am the right fit? That is exactly what the free consult is for.
Fifteen minutes, no pressure, no paperwork. You ask questions, I answer honestly, and if I am not the right therapist for you I will help you find someone who is.
