Supportive Parenting Sessions
Parenting help without the judgment
Supportive parenting sessions are telehealth meetings for parents, without your child present, focused on practical strategies and your relationship with your kid. Think of it as a thinking partner who has seen a thousand classrooms.
Who this is for
- Parents of anxious, intense, or neurodivergent kids who have read all the books and still feel stuck
- Parents whose own upbringing left them without a map they actually want to follow
- Co-parents who need a shared playbook more than they need a verdict
- Parents of reluctant teens who will not attend therapy themselves
How I work
- We get concrete. You leave sessions with specific things to try, and we review what actually happened, not what should have happened.
- Seven years in classrooms taught me what schools can and cannot do, and how to advocate for your child inside that system.
- No judgment. You are here, which already puts you in the top tier of parents.
Fees
Sessions are $100 for 50 minutes, paid through Ivy Pay (cash, credit, debit, HSA, or FSA). I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Details on the fees page.
Questions people ask
Is this therapy or coaching?
It is counseling for you in your role as a parent. Your child is not the client and does not attend. If it becomes clear that your child would benefit from their own therapy, we will talk about that openly.
How many sessions does this take?
Many parents feel meaningful traction within 4 to 6 sessions. Some come monthly as a tune-up. There is no required package and no contract.
Not sure if I am the right fit? That is exactly what the free consult is for.
Fifteen minutes, no pressure, no paperwork. You ask questions, I answer honestly, and if I am not the right therapist for you I will help you find someone who is.
